The story of the brand began in 2018, Bucharest, Romania, when two great minds Andra Mihaela Balaci, successful entrepreneur and brand manager and Ruxandra Maria Vintescu, fashion designer and creative director graduated in fashion design at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti di Milano, decided to unite and create this beautiful, fresh and glam world of Mooa Design. The two co-founders allied in order to create a strong brand with an atelier located right in the center of Bucharest.
The name of the brand MOOA came up from many ideas and with a lot of help from a brilliant astrologer. The two letters ‘M’ and ‘A’ are not only part from the co-founder’s names but they also have a strong meaning. ‘M’ refers to the principle of water and birth and is actively present in our minds, ‘A’ stands for the sound, the great mystical power of acts and magic, also the Greek alpha marks the beginning of all things. Meanwhile, the two circles in the middle are a graphic modern interpretation of the infinity symbol, which stands for eternity and signifies the concept of limitlessness.
The brand wants to spread a strong feeling of unicity, creativity, femininity and confidence through its designs. The design of the products is well studied by the design team in order to offer glam and chic clothing which follow and incorporate withal principles as: balanced proportions, unity in design and emphasis on the woman’s body. Besides the well-studied design, another notable feature of the Mooa Design creations is the following of the customer’s needs, trends and the approaching of different techniques, in order to create clothes for every type of occasion.
On a large scale from Ready to Wear products to Made to Measure gowns, the brand offers high quality fabrics and embroideries from all over the world and impeccable finishes harmoniously combined with innovative tailoring techniques and couture touches. All products are made under the authority and observation of the creative director in order to obtain high quality products which respect all the customer’s needs.
